How Apple screens resumes
Apple takes applications on its own site, jobs.apple.com, with no third-party applicant tracking system (ATS) in view. Apple does not publish a step-by-step hiring process that we could find. It does say who checks backgrounds and what it collects from references.

How we know which system: Listings and the Submit Resume flow both stay on jobs.apple.com. No third-party host appears. Checked on Apple’s careers site on 2026-10-15. An employer can change system without announcing it, so treat the date as the limit of this claim.

- Lead with your specialty. Apple says it is organized by expertise, so depth matters.
- Show detail: name the parts you designed, built or fixed.
- Show cross-team work. Apple says no one team owns a product alone.
- Tell your references you listed them. Apple collects information from references you provide.
- Make sure dates, titles and degrees match your records. Background check providers may verify them.

What the Apple application asks for
In the US, Apple collects employment information from you and from any references you provide. It may also receive it from third-party background check providers.
Apple may verify your education through its background check providers.
In the UK, Apple uses HireRight for background checks, which can include criminal records checks. It requests these only where proportionate to the role.
Apple takes part in E-Verify in certain US locations, as required by law, and says it is a drug-free workplace.

Apple describes leaders who are immersed in the details. Swap broad claims for specifics: components, constraints and trade-offs.
Apple says even one component can need dozens of specialist teams. Name the teams you worked with and what you delivered together.
